OPENFOREX DATA LIBRARY
Use the evidence available today.
Explore retained economic observations in their original units, with source references and reproduced values. Public access is available while the full valuation dataset continues through review.
This release contains source observations and two derived price totals. C1–C4 and QASH valuations are unavailable in this release. Missing observations remain explicit, and country or product comparability must be assessed before combining values.

Available observations
Values retain their published units and periods. Open a record to inspect its source, extraction location and limitations. Greece is a national context observation, not an EA20 aggregate.
Coverage & limitations
The release selects 43 observations from the existing methodology input inventory, 38 additional source facts and two reproduced electricity-price component totals. It provides source data for analysis; publication does not establish a complete annual or comparable cross-economy valuation dataset.
How to interpret this release
- Rice and milk prices retain product and packaging definitions. Long-life milk requires a separate comparison to fresh milk.
- Broadband baskets differ in technology and speed. Their nominal prices do not establish equivalent service quality.
- Labour statistics retain their age population and survey scope. A source value is not a harmonized denominator.
- Annual electricity totals add three disjoint components. They are labelled as derived statistics, with each component retained.
- Publication time may be unknown; retrieval time is a separate field. Unknown metadata remains empty.
Original methodology input inventory
These 36 input slots retain their existing review status. They are requirements for the complete C1–C4 construction, rather than conditions for accessing this partial source-data release.
Attribution and reuse
Credit the original producer and linked source, and OpenForex Society for this compilation. Original producer terms apply. Source documents are linked rather than mirrored. Society administration reports phone confirmation covering 2000–2025; the exact datasets and public API redistribution terms have not been documented by that confirmation.
API & downloads
Read access is public and requires no API credential. Responses identify the dataset version, partial coverage and source validation status. This is an observations API; it returns no QASH valuation.

curl 'https://openforex.io/governance/data/observations.json?entity=ZAF&period=2024-01'Filters: entity, period and series, each matching an exact catalog value. JSON supports page (default 1) and limit (default 100, maximum 500). CSV exports all matching records without pagination. No matches returns an empty records list.

- raw_value / raw_unit / raw_currency
- Source precision is preserved as a decimal string, with its native unit and currency.
- kind / verification / admission_status
- Distinguishes original source observations from reproduced totals, and source replay from formal Society admission.
- source_url_or_endpoint / snapshot_sha256 / source_locator
- Identifies the original publication, retained bytes and exact cell or extraction location.
- reference_period / publication_timestamp / retrieval_timestamp
- Separates the measured period, known publication time and actual capture time.
- limitation / definition / derivation
- Preserves scope constraints and explicit calculation inputs.
Future releases
Contributors submit source evidence through the Society's evidence calls. Each new release receives a new version after source replay and scope review. Formal methodology changes and production decisions continue in the assigned governance workspace.
