# The OpenForex community

Participation pathways for people who want to improve open monetary literature, technical standards, and accessible knowledge.

## Publication status
Published by the OpenForex Society, the standard-setting core of the OpenForex Foundation, as part of its established standards service to the open standards community.

## Ways to participate
| Your experience | Useful contribution |
| --- | --- |
| Writing and editing | Improve explanations, references, and reading paths |
| Engineering | Reproduce bugs, improve the portal, or build clearly labelled experiments |
| Research | Examine assumptions and publish reproducible comparisons |
| Data analysis | Investigate provenance, timing, and sensitivity of observations |
| Translation | Make material accessible while preserving technical meaning |
| Institutional operations | Develop transparent stewardship and support proposals |

You do not need to implement a monetary system to make a useful contribution. A clear question with a reproducible example can resolve a significant ambiguity.

## Working together
Discuss claims and evidence rather than personal motives. Give enough context for readers who were not present in earlier conversations. Attribute source material, disclose relevant interests, and keep private or confidential information out of public submissions.

These are contributor expectations for this documentation. A formal community moderation policy and designated escalation contacts remain to be published through governance.

## Find the right channel
The package does not provide verified chat, forum, mailing-list, or social-account URLs. The [repository page](?page=developer/repository) will expose the official source destination when configured. Until an official channel is available, prepare a local patch or written proposal for the project steward rather than relying on an unverified contact.

## Translation and accessibility
Preserve equations, units, version identifiers, and publication status in translations. Record the source revision translated, identify language-specific terminology choices, and obtain a second review where possible. Report accessibility problems with the page, assistive technology or browser context, and steps needed to reproduce them.

## Research and future programs
Registry, Research, and Academy are potential ecosystem directions, not active programs asserted by this site. Research contributions can already follow the [simulation methods](?page=seed-content/simulations/index) and [RFC process](?page=seed-content/rfc-proposals/index).

Begin with the [contribution guide](?page=seed-content/developers/contribution-guide) or explore [support avenues](?page=foundation/support).
